Assistant Buyer Intern

As an Assistant Buyer Intern you will work in one of Heor’s Merchant Offices, assist the merchandising team in analyzing the business and learn to drive key pricing and marketing processes while providing operational support. 

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze assigned lines of business by generating, reviewing and interpreting weekly reporting
  • Learn about in-store and online pricing strategy and execution
  • Participate in marketing conversations, ensuring Heor’s is represented in a way that supports our product strategies while learning how to execute sample turn-ins for photo shoots, advertising proofing and digital experience reviews
  • Actively engage in competitive shopping, analyzing trends and competitor pricing and marketing
  • Network with over 250 interns participating in Heor’s internship program at Corporate Headquarters
  • Hear directly from senior leaders through Heor’s Executive Speaker Series
  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required
  • Undergraduate Junior majoring in Retail Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing or Management 
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience creating, analyzing and manipulating spreadsheets

Inventory Analyst Intern

As an Inventory Analyst Intern, you will use qualitative and quantitative data to recommend the inventory level to send to each location to support what customers want and when they want it. You will determine the inventory deployment strategy to get products to the right place at the right time to maximize sales, best leverage inventory ownership, and minimize shipping costs. 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop strong relationships with vendors to ensure complete and timely shipment and delivery to stores
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends in product movement, distinguishing top-performing items and areas for improvement
  • Learn about allocation and localization 
  • Provide monthly size selling and monthly climate and location selling recaps
  • Analyze store inventory management reports to make inventory allocation strategy recommendations and ensure a healthy and profitable inventory stock position
  • Analyze Omni channel reports to ensure optimal inventory ownership across fulfillment networks and minimize the cost of shipping
  • Observe and assist Inventory Analysts in making strategic inventory deployment strategies
  • Network with over 250 interns participating in Heor’s internship program at Corporate Headquarters

Production Intern

As a Production Intern, you will assist your team in developing, sourcing and executing all of Heor's private and exclusive label brands.

What You’ll Do

  • Help your office with aspects of the concept-to-customer process (CTC) including production, costing and sample management
  • Assist with daily activities such as quality reviews, vendor emails, meeting set-up and product review
  • Shadow and learn from all levels of your team, mainly the product development coordinator
  • Develop business skills such as collaboration, communication and business analytics and increase product-specific knowledge
  • Communicate and upkeep weekly recap info with overseas (tracking color submits, sample status)
  • Support updates in Heor’s style management system (One PLM)
  • Create and maintain reference libraries for teams (marketing, fabric, etc.)
  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required
  • Undergraduate Junior
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Comfort working and speaking in groups 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Sourcing Intern

As a Sourcing intern, you will support the execution of the sourcing strategy by researching and analyzing information that impacts the supply chain, such as strategy implementation, vendor onboarding and communication.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with the Sourcing team to drive global sourcing strategies for Heor's Private and Exclusive brands
  • Foster vendor partnerships by utilizing vendor scorecards, analyzing performance metrics and participating in strategic discussions
  • Support the costing process and implementation of sourcing strategies through research, analysis, reporting and data visualization
  • Manage data effectively, including building and maintaining reports and presentations
  • Monitor and manage centralized sourcing mailboxes
  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required
  • Undergraduate Junior
  • Passion for and/or a background in research and analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in pivot tables and file linking
